Bimetal Coil

Description

A bimetal coil consists of two layers different alloys firmly bonded together which having different coefficient of thermal expansion result: High expansion and low expansion. One layer consists of an alloy having a high coefficient of expansion while the other layer is one with a lower coefficient of expansion.

Bimetals have variety of applications as following description:
-Temperature indicator
-Control of parameter against temperature.
-Compensation.
